Vishay East Windsor is currently seeking an full-time Entry Level 2nd Shift Operator, Flattening & Straightening, responsible for handling the material, setting up the machine, and producing quality parts in a safe and efficient manner to meet delivery dates.
Responsibilities:
- Load and unload machine
- In-line inspection
- Inspection of camber and makes adjustments as needed from start to finish of the part
- Cleaning and organizing the workstation (5S practice)
- Read and understand material drawings
- Performing machine set-up
- Perform quality tests at the beginning and end of each part
- Documentation of production data
- Communicates with department supervisor when production and/or quality issues arise
- Takes direction from the department supervisor on parts schedule
Requirements:
- Works on assignments that are moderately difficult, requiring judgment in resolving issues or in making recommendations.
- Has substantial understanding of the job. Works in a clean and safe manner with a positive and professional attitude. Displays mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Education: High school diploma or GED
- Work Experience: Warehouse, manufacturing, machining, or auto mechanical background preferred but not required.
- Training: 6-8 weeks
- Generally good working conditions. May have occasional exposure to dust, noise, heat, and mild chemicals like acetone. Safety equipment such as safety glasses, cut resistant gloves, and safety shoes must be worn.
