Sr Manufacturing Engineer

Vishay HiRel Systems, Dover, New Hampshire, is currently seeking a Sr. Manufacturing Engineer responsible for designing and supporting new and existing products with emphasis on design and process development to ensure ease of manufacturability, repeatability and high quality


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with engineering teams on new product development and ensure that these products are designed for manufacturability
  • Create 3D models and engineering drawings for new design concepts
  • Design and manufactur test equipment, jigs, fixtures, tools, etc.
  • Work closely with prototype lab during the initial build and may assist manufacturing with the first production run
  • Create, design, and implement new electrical testing methods and/or hardware to reduce setup time, test time, and improve test accuracy
  • Provide ongoing support for both new products and changes to existing projects
  • Coordinate and lead DFMEA and PFMEA for new product
  • Seek out new manufacturing methods and technology to keep pace with new product development
  • Technical interaction with customers



  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering and 8+ year's professional experience in a manufacturing environment
  • SolidWorks experience required
  • Self-starter with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and efficiently evaluate and accommodate changing demands
  • Ability to work well in a team based environment
  • Practical process/system/product experience desired
  • Experience with statistical software, such as Minitab or JMP
  • Experience with machine shop equipment (i.e., milling machines, lathes) preferred
  • Automation and/or PLC experience a plus
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, problem solving and computer skills essential
  • Advanced level of MS Office products
