Where You'll Work & The Scope: 

Vishay HiRel Systems in Dover, NH is currently seeking a full-time Senior Mechanical Engineer responsible for designing and supporting new and existing products with the emphasis on product design and process development to ensure ease of manufacturability, repeatability, and high quality.   


How You'll Help Us Build the DNA of Tech:

  • Collaborate with the engineering teams on new product development and ensure that products are designed for manufacturability.
  • Create 3D models and engineering drawings for new design concepts.
  • Design and manufacture simple to moderately complex test equipment, jigs, fixtures, tools, etc.
  • Work closely with the prototype lab during the initial build and may assist manufacturing with the first production run to be certain that the product can be manufactured efficiently and repetitively.
  • Implement purchased, designed, and automation equipment onto production floor working closely with operations team
  • Provide ongoing support for both new products and changes to existing products.
  • Participate in DFMEA and PFMEA for new product
  • Seek out new manufacturing methods and technology to keep pace with new product development
  • Potential for frequent technical interaction with customers.


Experience You'll Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering and 5-8 years professional experience in a manufacturing environment
  • SolidWorks experience is required
  • Self-starter with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and efficiently evaluate and accommodate changing demands
  • Able to work well in a team based environment
  • Practical process/system/product experience desired
  • Experience with machine shop equipment like milling machines and lathes is essential
  • Automation and/or PLC experience would be a plus
  • Experience in mechanical simulations using Ansys and/or Solidworks would be a plus
  • Excellent oral, written, interpersonal, problem solving and computer skills are essential. Advanced level user of Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Power Point and Access).
