Traffic Specialist

Do you want to be a part of the critical infrastructure in today’s growing technology? Vishay in Columbus, NE is looking for a Traffic Specialist to coordinate import and export activities from Europe, Israel, Asia and Americas.

 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Directs, supports, and coordinates inbound and outbound freight activities as it between Vishay Customers, Intercompany, Raw Material and or distribution/gateway locations (other freight forwarder CFS). Much is done through active tracking of pre-alerts and at the directions of the Services Manager via Customer Service Requests.
  • Reviews and analyses costs associated with Inbound/Outbound freight and distribution. Assigns all freight bill codes to assure proper department budgets are allocated (BBA freight bill auditing)
  • Act as a resource to answer questions for other departments such as purchasing, as it relates to transportation.
  • Resolve shipping problems by working with warehouses and carriers
  • Obtain POD’s as requested by Accounts Receivable.
  • Monitor carrier performance on assigned lanes.
  • Support local shipping activity. This includes export documentation, etc.

 

Requirements:

  • 2 to 5 years of experience in dealing with customs and the documents mentioned above.
  • Import/Export
  • Warehouse shipping operations
  • SAP
  • PC
