Do you want to be a part of the critical infrastructure in today's growing technology?  Vishay Dale Columbus, Nebraska is seeking a full time Material Handler. The Material Handler is responsible for Pulling, packages and sends various raw materials, machinery, supplies, etc. to all Plants in Columbus, Mexico and Israel. Receives raw materials, machinery, supplies, data storage, Marcom materials, recycling materials, etc. and places such materials in the proper place within the storage facility. Computer knowledge of the Dale Legacy System is imperative and is used to monitor inventories with an extreme importance on accuracy. SAP knowledge is also required at the receiving position. Operation of company vehicles, forklifts, pallet jacks, floor sweeper, recycling compactors is required. More than normal amount of manual labor is involved with loading and unloading semi’s all day long in an environment that is not air-conditioned.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Understands all processes and specification within the department and reports to Supervisor any discrepancies in line specifications. 
  • Receives orders from all Columbus locations via phone or email and pulls, packages, loads and delivers raw materials etc. to all Plants in Columbus. Receives raw materials, spare parts, etc. from outside vendors and distributes said material to the proper locations within Vishay.
  • Receives orders from Vishay locations via Inventory Control Personnel. Pulls, Packages, prepares necessary paperwork and sends the same material via various trucking carriers.
  • Loads and unloads semi tractor trailers much of the day placing the raw materials, etc. in their proper place using forklifts, pallets jacks, manual labor, etc.
  • Reports any machine breakdowns to the Supervisor and/or maintenance and reports any tool shortages or tools in need of repair.
  • Performs daily checks on company vehicles and forklift to assure everything is running properly.
  • Picks up a significant amount of recycling materials on a daily basis and prepares the same for pickup by reclaim companies.

 

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Three months up to one year of experience.
  • Must satisfactorily complete annual HazWoper training.
  • Initial hazardous waste management procedures (RCRA) training within six months of the appointment of position dealing with hazardous waste and subsequent annual refresher thereafter.
