Quality Inspector (2nd Shift)

Vishay Dale in Columbus, NE is currently seeking a full-time Quality Inspector responsible for performing mechanical inspection of incoming parts - accepting or rejecting in accordance with company policy of quality level.

 

 Responsibilities:

  • To conduct sample resistance tests and sample visual inspection of all resistor types.
  • Conducts sample resistance measurements and visual inspection of all types of resistors in conformance with the applicable test & inspection documents.
  • Interprets technical information when necessary.
  • Uses vernier calipers, micrometers or similar measurement devices of checking resistor dimension called out.
  • Maintains proficiency to inspect products form lines other than the primary assigned line.  Assists in other areas during the absence of an inspector.
  • Operates with accuracy and has extensive knowledge of comparison bridge, ESI-263 Bridge, 1700 Digital converter with 1715 comparator and megohometer.
  • Assures that resistors are visually in conformance with respective production card, testing and process instruction, drawing and criteria incorporated in written inspection control procedures.

 

 Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent. 
  • One to two years experience preferred.
