Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the coordination of the daily activities of their designated production area and support the internal product needs of Vishay
- Prioritizes work orders and purchase orders to the designated production area and acts in the capacity of Leadman to determine what production line will be utilized to produce the product in the most efficient manner.
- Coordinates all production lines and creates scheduling to meet promised price and delivery of piece parts.
- Consistently looks for ways of cost reduction of piece parts in labor, materials and equipment.
- Works closely with the Supervisor to assure the designated production area has machine and tooling maintenance support for the piece part operation.
- Works closely with other Vishay divisions when necessary to expedite items and/or meet piece part needs and schedules.
- Monitors inventory levels on raw stock, mold compound, expendables, and essential items. Works closely with purchasing, inventory control, and outside vendors to assure all items are available to meet production demands.
- Maintains accurate records on scrap recycling program for EPA reporting.
- Works with Engineers and Production Designers on new product development and offers suggestions on efficient manufacturing methods to produce a product and piece part.
- Responsible for all record keeping, and documentation for incoming materials, dispersals and returns.
- Equipment Utilization: Must be computer literate and familiar with business office practices.
- Responsible for maintaining of Vishay environmental policies and OSHA regulations as they pertain to the designated production area.
- Accountable for errors in production and responsible for corrective action requests from QC.
- Responsible for crating outgoing orders and all associated shipping documents.
- Maintains archive of product samples for historical traceability.
- Participates in continuous improvement activities
- Provides key input to supervisor concerning employee performance for use in determining wage increases, disciplinary actions, and preparing progress reviews.
- Maintains good communication skills. Ability to coordinate multi-task scheduling. Knowledge of manufacturing processes.
- Physical demands require working in a less than desirable working conditions. Exposure to noise, odor, operational machinery, dust, heat/cold/frequent temperature changes, or other elements with at least one element continuously present to the extent of being disagreeable. Safety Glasses and Hearing protection are required throughout the shop. Depending on you assignment you will also be required to use appropriate gloves for material handling and cleaning appropriate protective clothing if working in the tumbling area or assisting in the Mold Compound room. If assisting in the mold compound room you must be able to wear a respirator and be respirator trained. Job also requires being on feet standing or walking 60-100% of the time.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Ability to accurately interpret specifications.
- Ability to stand during entire shift.
- Ability to handle and lift up to 20 pounds.
