Experienced Manufacturing Operator (Day Shift)

Do you want to be a part of the critical infrastructure in today's growing technology? Vishay Dale in Columbus, NE is currently seeking a full-time Plating Production Technician assisting the supervisor in increasing line efficiency, assisting in the training of new employees, managing orders through the line in proper sequence and working on the production line on to assist in breaking material banks. Direct production floor in Supervisor absence. Works closely with production and Engineering.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Understands all processes and specifications within the department and reports to Supervisor any discrepancies in line specifications.
  • Assists Supervisor in managing the line flow of orders.  Reports any excessive work banks at line positions to Supervisor.
  • Assists Supervisor in the instruction and training of line workers, monitors worker's technique and makes recommendations for improvement.  Reports to Supervisor any problems or difficulties encountered by the production workers in their operation, materials, or equipment.
  • Plates and cleans product as necessary for continuation of line flow.
  • Reports any machine breakdowns to the Supervisor and/or maintenance and reports any tool shortages or tools in need of repair.

 

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes or print shop operation normally obtained by working 3 months in a comparable environment would be desirable.
