Burn-In Tech Monitor

Vishay Columbus, Nebraska location is currently seeking a full time Burn-In Rack Operator responsible for rack loading/unloading and monitoring voltage of military parts on power conditioning in Burn-In area.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for monitoring voltage on one part in each tray while the parts are on power to ensure product is receiving correct conditioning.  Operator will record this information, trouble shoot and perform maintenance on more complex problems.
  • Must be able to identify equipment malfunctions and notify Burn-In Technician and Supervisor or Material Handler if such problems occur.  Will vacuum racks and do air flow checks as assigned.
  • Responsible for Screening Incident Reports to ensure that they are completed correctly and attached to the order.
  • Responsible for loading and unloading lot or lots of resistors onto Burn In racks to complete the power conditioning function in accordance with DPS-626. ( Power Conditioning of  High Reliability
  • Resistors.)
  • Diversified duties involving an intensive knowledge of a restricted operation and the use of a wide range of procedures.
  • Requires the use of judgment in the analysis of facts and circumstances surrounding individual processes or operations and in the determination of actions to be taken within the standard of accepted practice.
  • Equipment Utilization:  Regular duties involve working with high voltage burn-racks.
  • Participates in continuous improvement activities.
  • Under specific direction where definite objectives are established, plans and arranges own work, referring only unusual cases to Supervisor or others designated to resolve problems and operational decisions.
  • Engaged in the Division’s Continuous Improvement Lean program, by providing evidence through the use either the JM (Job Method), 5s Audits, improvement on 8 types of waste.

Requirements:

 Training in the application and operation of a range of complex or automated machinery, equipment and processes, or in the application of practical and shop mathematics together with the use of specifications, drawings or plans.

High School Diploma or equivalent.Bi-Lingual a plus.

Three months to one year training in the application of a range of complex or automated machinery, equipment and processes
