Customer Service SAP Key User

Vishay Columbus, NE is currently seeking a Customer Service SAP Key User, responsible for, serving as the primary contact for any SAP\EDI system projects, testing and issues. This position will create all BPO CR & DTS requests. Will participate in all related global conference calls (early hours). Communicates all system changes and enhancements to the Trainer\Managers. Oversees any testing when members of the CS team need to be involved. Responsible for maintaining multiple CS\Sales web sites. Serves as the backup person for the CS Trainer when that contact is not available.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Support new SAP projects (design / development / testing) with involvement of SAP Key User Team.
  • Maintain communication between various IT contacts and Sales/CS in order to communicate the needs to IT and support troubleshooting / enhancements by IT most effectively.
  • Assure a proper information flow amongst Sales / CS Trainer about any changed SAP /EDI features or new/additional SAP reports / possibilities.
  • Stay in close contact with NA Trainer and CS Managers in order to detect needs for system / report updates / changes / enhancements / EDI requirements, create BPO CR’s & DTS documents, create ARF’s & BARF’s for SAP access & changes.
  • Participation in regular Con Calls and project Con Calls with the SAP Global Key User Team. Communicate with other regions Key Users in order to insure WW consistency in new programs, developments and updates.
  • Work with NA Trainer to maintain SAP manuals for user community and publish them on Sales web sharepoint.
  • RMA Web site: Maintain User profiles, Division approvers, Email contacts, Currency rates. Process testing in Easy Vista system. Review daily RMA reports.
  • CS Web site: Maintain all documents and Links on the site. Maintain User ID’s for site access. Communicate with other depts. when updated documents are required.


Knowledge in various SAP\EDI programs and web site maintenance pre-requisite.  Knowledge in modern office systems (Microsoft programs, E-mail, on-screen work) mandatory. Excellent communication skills in order to deal effectively with Company employees. Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail and excellent organizational skills in order to accurately train and maintain training materials/web sites.

Must be able to multi-task working with contacts in Marketing, Planning, Quality, etc. in the 14 business units associated with Vishay Americas. Generally sedentary type work with mobility required intermittently to handle such things as making copies and filing.

8+ years of related experience

This position requires access to information subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations and/or the Export Administration Regulations. As such, this position is open only to applicants who qualify as “U.S. Persons” according to U.S. federal law.
