Where You'll Work & The Scope:

Vishay, Tantalum Capacitor Division is currently seeking a full-time Electrical Engineer.

 

Reporting to the R&D Director and working in partnership with Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering and R&D, this position will fulfil a diverse set of supportive roles towards the manufacturing of Wet Tantalum Capacitors. The primary role will be the development of new equipment and repurposing and integration of old equipment to modernize and automate production lines. As is in our case that the above-mentioned engineering teams are closely knit and regularly cross pollinate ideas and tasks, it is expected that a secondary function will be broad range of product and process developments.

 

How You'll Help Us Build the DNA of Tech:

 

  • Sourcing and Procuring Machines and equipment for manufacturing and testing needs
  • Programing CNC, VI, PLC & HMI controls on new and old equipment
  • Design and Development of new controls in cooperation with Mechanical Engineering automation projects
  • Instructing electrical technician in the wiring of machine and instrument boards and panels
  • De-bugging of legacy and new develop of software and electrical hardware used on manufacturing equipment
  • Assist application and R&D engineering in the characterization testing of Wet Tantalum Capacitors
  • Create, update, and maintain electrical schematics using AutoCAD / OrCAD software
  • Developing software in Labview

 

 

Experience You'll Need:

 

  • Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering  
  • Demonstratable verbal and written skills
  • Firm understanding in basic electrical circuits
  • Demonstratable interest in machine development projects
  • Demonstratable interest and talent in machine coding
  • Mechanical aptitude desirable
  • General understanding of relevant design software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, OrCAD, Inventor, etc.
  • Demonstratable understanding of Statistical Process Control. Experience in using JMP or Minitab a plus
  •  Previous experience programming in MATLAB. Java, C, C++ is desirable
